I have been working with clay for twenty years. In that time I built a ceramics business that sold to over 4 thousand collectors in more than fifty countries. I figured out the unsexy parts of running a creative business nobody talks about; the pricing, overhead, organization, avoiding burnout, and eventually found a way to run it that felt sustainable instead of just relentless.

That last part took longer than it should have. I went through programs that promised to teach me the business side of making things and walked away with generic advice that didn't account for what it actually means to build something by hand, price it honestly, and protect your creative energy in the process. I kept looking for the course that gave artists the guidance I was looking for at a price that was attainable and affordable. I never found it. So I built it instead.
